Baltimore Museum of Art

As the digital media manager at the Baltimore Museum of Art, my job is to engage and grow the Museum’s digital presence by writing, filming, and publishing content for all social media platforms and email marketing campaigns. I support virtual programs and develop special projects to drive attendance to exhibitions and events. I also produce Drawn To, a print and video series that highlights works on view through the eyes of Baltimore-based artists.

Stories from the BMA

Video projects featuring artists discussing their works on view.

Not Fiction but Glory is Omar Ba's largest work to date. Ba, one of today’s leading contemporary African artists, assembled this mural out of 358 cardboard moving boxes as part of his U.S museum exhibition, Omar Ba: Political Animals. Here, Ba reflects on the history and symbolism presented in this monumental work that merges the experiences of Black America and Senegal.

Filmed and edited by Andrea Boston.

Artist Thaddeus Mosley shares why he uses wood to create inventive abstract sculptures. Using only a mallet, chisel, and masterful joinery techniques, Mosley, largely self-taught, reworks felled timber from local sawmills into monumental biomorphic expressions inspired by ancient and modern cultures from around the world.

Guarding the Art
